US bishop blasts Biden over executive order ‘facilitating abortion’


Rome – The US Bishops’ Conference (USCCB) has condemned President Joe Biden for this week’s executive order aimed at streamlining access to abortion.

In response, Baltimore Archbishop William Lowry, chairman of the Episcopal Committee on Pro-life Activities, issued a Statement Friday called on the president and all elected officials “to increase support and care for mothers and children rather than facilitate the destruction of defenseless, voiceless human beings.”

The archbishop stressed, “The continued promotion of abortion kills lives and causes irreparable harm to vulnerable pregnant mothers, their families and society.” “This is the wrong direction at a time when we should be working to support women and build a culture of life.”
