Anantapur:, 01 August: Andhra Pradesh Home Minister Tanathi Vanitha along with DGP KV Rajendranath Reddy formally inaugurated the regional Regional Forensic Science Laboratory (RFSL) at the Anantapur Police Training College (PTC) campus on Sunday. Speaking on the occasion, Home Minister Tanti Vanita said that the Regional Forensic Science Laboratory helps in speedy investigation of cases. He said that Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is fully supporting the police department for reforms and modernization of the police force. He is also very happy about this.
Home Minister Tanti Vanita said that the concept of zero FIR has also been introduced to ensure that people get prompt justice. Home Minister Tanti Vanita has praised the police force for its committed and commendable services to the public. He also appreciated the sacrifice made by the police in performing their duty.
He said that the concept of friendly policing has been introduced in all the police stations and reception centers have been opened to take the people coming to the police station home. Despite the non-implementation of the Direction Act, the spirit of the law is being implemented by the police stations by ignoring all the features of the law.
DGP KV Rajendranath Reddy said that the Regional Forensic Science Laboratory will prove to be a boon for speedy investigation and justice. The state’s forensic laboratories have the capacity to handle 13,000 samples and send reports to police stations.
Regional forensic science laboratories play an important role in crime investigation. About 12 scientific officers will work in the lab of PTC. Another lab will be opened in Rajamahendravaram. On this occasion, Women and Child Welfare Minister Ushashree Charan also addressed.
