Kakinada, August 05: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has helped a 10-year-old mentally challenged boy from Mandapam village in Shankhavaram mandal of Kakinada district. Looking at the plight of 10-year-old mentally challenged Nikka Dharmateja and his mother Nikka Tanuja, CM Jagan Mohan Reddy has directed Collector Krithika Shukla to provide assistance. They will get immediate assistance of Rs 10,000 and monthly pension from September.
Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy attended a wedding ceremony in Payakaropetta on Thursday. In the same program, the mother of a disabled child appealed to CM Jagan Mohan Reddy to grant disability pension to her son. After listening to the child’s mother, the Chief Minister stopped his vehicle and assured the woman of help.
Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy got down from his vehicle and inquired about the boy. Later, CM Jagan instructed the collector to help the boy in every possible way. Within two hours of the Chief Minister’s visit, the District Collector provided financial assistance of Rs 10,000 to the boy’s mother.
