Srinagar, August 15: National Conference chief Farooq Abdullah hoisted the national flag at his residence on the occasion of Independence Day. Farooq Abdullah hoisted the tricolor at his Srinagar residence, probably for the first time since he was ousted from power. He also addressed the people after hoisting the national flag as a citizen of the country. Farooq Abdullah said, “Earlier we could not even make needles, where we have reached today. Now we are not only producing food grains for ourselves but also exporting to other countries.”

People’s Democratic Party president Mehbooba Mufti said on Monday that the people of Jammu and Kashmir had accepted the national tricolor in 1947, but with some constitutional guarantees, which had been “bulldozed in 2019”. He alleged that Kashmiris were threatened with consequences and the national flag was hoisted.

Mehbooba wrote in one tweet after another, “Lest we forget that the people of Jammu and Kashmir accepted the Indian flag in October 1947. But with some conditions and its own flags.

In another of her tweets, Mehbooba Mufti posted a picture from the 1950s showing India’s first Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru addressing a gathering at Srinagar’s Lal Chowk. Mehbooba wrote alongside the picture, “Jawaharlal Nehru standing between two flags, the Indian national flag and the Jammu and Kashmir state flag adopted constitutionally in 1952 and bulldozed to fulfill BJP’s separatist agenda in 2019.” executed Now every basic value of the Indian flag is also under threat.

Let it be known that the National Conference Party had given information on Saturday that Farooq Abdullah has been found infected with the corona virus. However, 85-year-old Farooq Abdullah is recovering well and was kept in self-isolation at home. While hoisting the tricolor on Monday, they were seen wearing masks and social distancing from others.

“Dr. Farooq Abdullah tested positive for Covid-19 a few days ago with mild symptoms. He is recovering well and his doctors have advised him to rest until he recovers,” the party wrote on Twitter.

Farooq Abdullah first tested positive for Covid-19 last year in April 2021. Then, on the advice of doctors, he was admitted to the hospital for a few days for better care.
