New Delhi, August 19 The world, which is already struggling with Corona, is now under the threat of monkeypox and now its effects have started to be seen in India as well. So far 10 cases of monkeypox have been reported in India. Out of these, 5 cases have been reported in Delhi and 5 in Kerala. The World Health Organization has already warned against monkeypox as dangerous. In such a scenario, now within India, ICMR has also started preparations for the same.

Will there be a zero survey on monkeypox?
In fact, citing media reports it is being claimed that the ICMR is considering a sero-survey to detect asymptomatic monkeypox patients. ICMR officials have said that they are yet to ascertain the proportion of people who do not show symptoms of the viral infection.
An ICMR source said, “We are thinking of conducting a sero-survey of close contacts of people affected by monkeypox in India so that we can check for the presence of antibodies in them. The idea is to find out which of them How many have been infected with the disease through contact with an infected person and have not shown symptoms.
