<p><strong>New Delhi, August 6:</strong> NDA candidate Jagdeep Dhankhar has won the Vice President election. Voting for the election of the country's next vice president ended at 5 pm on Saturday. Dhankhar got 528 votes while his opponent Margaret Alva got 182 votes. The votes of 15 MPs have been cancelled. Dhankhar will now take oath of office on August 11. It is being told that after the announcement of the results of the vice presidential election, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will go to 11 Akbar Road to congratulate NDA's vice presidential candidate Jagdeep Dhankhar. Amit Shah, JP Nadda will also meet Jagdeep Dhankhar. Dhankhar's victory in this election is expected to be sure.</p> <p>The Trinamool Congress, which has 39 MPs in the Lok Sabha, had already announced its stay away from the election.
