New Delhi, August 13: Pakistan will also participate in counter-terrorism exercises organized by India under the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO). According to a leading newspaper of Pakistan, The Express Tribune, Pakistani and Indian soldiers will participate in anti-terrorist exercises together. This will be the first time that the Pakistan Army will participate in such an exercise in India.
The exercise will take place in Manesar, India
Referring to the weekly press briefing of Asim Iftikhar, the spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan, the newspaper wrote in its report that Pakistan will participate in the international anti-terrorism exercise to be held in October this year under the regional anti-terrorism framework of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization. will take India is chairing the Shanghai Cooperation Organization’s Regional Counter-Terrorism Framework this year. He said that this exercise is going to be held in Manesar, India in October. Since Pakistan is a member, we will participate in it.
Apart from Pakistan, these countries will also join
Apart from India, Russia, China, Pakistan, Iran, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan will participate in this exercise to be held in Manesar, Haryana. India and Pakistan are part of the Beijing-based 9-member regional organization under the SCO banner.
Relations deteriorated after the repeal of 370
On 5 August 2019, India abrogated Article 370 of the Constitution. This clause provides special status to Jammu and Kashmir. Pakistan opposed this decision of India. Since then there has been tension between the two countries. In view of the tension between the armies of the two countries, this step is considered important. After Article 370 was abrogated, Pakistan cut diplomatic ties and expelled the Indian ambassador. India has repeatedly told Pakistan that Jammu and Kashmir was, is and will remain an integral part of the country. India has also said that it wants normal neighborly relations with Pakistan in an environment free from terrorism, hostility and violence.
