Vijayawada, August 13:
Telugu Desam Party (TDP) General Secretary Nara Lokesh has accused the YSR Congress of taking credit for the work done during the tenure of former Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu. It is worth mentioning that Andhra Pradesh has come first in the All India Survey of Higher Education. Based on this report, Nara Lokesh has accused the Chief Minister of shamelessly taking credit.
Nara Lokesh said, the fact is that the survey report mentions the pass percentage and standard of education of the students from April 1, 2018 to March 31, 2019. He said that according to the report, Andhra Pradesh was ruled by TDP. In a statement issued on Friday, NARA said the total enrollment ratio in higher education in the country is 3.04 percent. In Andhra Pradesh it was 8.64%.
Referring to the efforts made during former Chief Minister Naidu’s tenure, Nara Lokesh said, the Malli Badki program launched by then Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu in 2000 was instrumental in reducing school dropouts. Jagan should not even take 0% credit for Andhra Pradesh’s better performance in the All India Survey of Higher Education, he said.
