‘Boy Meets World’ star Ben Savage announces bid for West Hollywood city council

Former ABC sitcom “Boy Meets World” star is running for actor Ben Savage West Hollywood, California, City Council.

As previously reported by Gawker, Savage’s campaign is already done filed paperwork with the city. The actor has a campaign website where he notes that he has been living in West Hollywood for 18 years.

“I have seen this city become one of the most affluent in the country – with exceptional restaurants, hotels, nightlife and culture,” said a statement from Savage on the homepage.

“In recent years, however, people have been disappointed with the direction the city is heading. Residents and community leaders have expressed dismay at the political divide and loss of a sense of community,” the statement said. “People are looking forward to leaders who can talk to each other, form alliances, work together on common-sense policies, and put the interests of the city and residents above their own.”

Savage played Corey Matthews in 1993–2000’s “Boy Meets World” and its byproducts. “Girl meets the world” From 2014-2017. In between, he graduated from Stanford University with a degree in Political Science.

As part of his studies, Savage interned for The then Sen. Arlene Spector, R-Pa.

The campaign’s site does not state whether Savage is running as a Democrat, Republican or independent.
