Former Trump attorney Michael Cohen voiced a conspiracy theory about the former in a Sunday appearance on MSNBC.

Former RNC President-turned-Never Trumper Michael Steele Interviews Cohen During Guest-Hosting “The Sunday Show With Jonathan Capehart”, During part of the segment, he discussed FBI raids Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estateallegedly to retrieve classified documents.

Steele asked, “Given what we know about the FBI search of Mar-a-Lago — and that you spent many years inside Donald Trump’s world — based on everything you know about him, Why do you think he wanted to keep those top secret documents at Mar-a-Lago?”

Cohen suggested that Trump plans to betray the country and aid his main geopolitical rivals if the full force of the justice system turns against him.

Cohen suggested, “He’s going to use it as a ‘get out of jail’ card. It’s a way to extort America.”

Cohen exemplified his view of Trump’s mindset “going around saying, ‘If you put me in jail… I’ll have my loyal supporters who you don’t know who might have copies of the information’. – Then, it’s my guess – ‘that I’ll take those documents, I’ll leave them to Iran, China, North Korea, to Russia, and you know what? You want to take me down, I’ll take down the whole country!'”

Former FBI agent Peter Strzok dismisses ‘nonsense’ idea that agency is ‘unilateral’

Cohen suggested that such tactics were endemic to Trump’s personality.

“Because, remember, and I’ve said this to you a thousand times, Mike, Donald Trump Cohen claimed that he didn’t care about this country, he didn’t care about anyone other than himself.

Steele agreed with Cohen’s analysis, saying, “You always bring receipts, bro. Appreciate you.”

After the raid on Trump’s home in Florida, Cohen tweeted a fake image of Trump crying with the caption “The end is near”, suggesting in the tweet that the raid would lead to inevitable jail time.

“Here’s what Trump’s lawyers should tell him: ‘When the FBI raids, all you can do is prepare for prison. No one is above the law! #KarmaBoomerang,” he tweeted.
