The Florida Holocaust Museum on Saturday condemned the waving of anti-Semitic flags outside a conservative convention hosted by former President Donald Trump.
As the Turning Point USA Student Action Summit was taking place, protesters gathered outside the Tampa Convention Center with Nazi flags, swastikas, SS logos and anti-Jewish satire.
Turning Point USA told Insider that the group was not associated with the event.

The president of the Florida Holocaust Museum, Mike Igel, described the protesters as “open and proudly displaying symbols of genocide.”
In a statement, He added: “The Nazi flag, or the flag of the SS, the organization responsible for some of the worst atrocities of the Holocaust, is an unforgivable act of pure hatred.”
The statement continued: “This is not about politics or religion. This is about humanity. The Florida Holocaust Museum calls on everyone, Jews and Gentiles, to strongly condemn this blatant anti-Semitism, regardless of political affiliation. Calls out. It should matter to all.”
Trump’s speech at the Turning Point USA conference included, Reps. Matt GetzoLauren Boebert, and Marjorie Taylor-Green.
A spokesperson for Turning Point USA told Insider that the students tried to confront the demonstrators, but ultimately did not flee. The spokesman said Turning Point USA was unable to remove the group because it was on public property.
“We are really proud of the way our students and security personnel handled it,” he said. “Obviously, Turning Point USA condemns the kind of behavior, acts and ideologies they represent. It goes without saying.”
