Twitter Users Think Trump’s Document Defense Sounds Like a Confession


A few hours later, he posted a two-part comment in which he acknowledged being the document, but claimed it had been declassified:

,Number one, it was all unclassified. Number two, they didn’t need to “seize” anything. They could get it anytime they wanted without playing politics and getting into Mar-a-Lago. It was in secure storage, an additional lock was put on as per their request…”

“They could have gotten it anytime – and that includes long ago. All they had to do was ask. The big problem is what are they going to do with the 33 million pages of documents, many of which are classified, which are Did President Obama take to Chicago?”

Several Twitter users noted that Trump’s remarks certainly sounded more like a confession than a defense.
